Journal 001: T-Wabisato Visual Identity

T-Michael 2 Jan, 2026

For T-Wabisato I sought out the best person for the job. T-Wabisato’s visual identity was created by Lars Larson together with Mie Christensen. I’ve know Lars Larsen since 2007 where we worked together on The Bergen Light Rail project. He established Larson Strategic Design Consultancy ApS after 25 years of experience in design and branding at Kontrapunkt Denmark, Kontrapunkt Japan and Triptykon.

In the roles of managing director, design director and project manager, Lars has managed some of the most complex identity projects in and out of Denmark like Copenhagen Airport, Danske Bank, Carlsberg, Odense Light Rail, Miyo, The Castle Gardens, Cityringen, Bergen Light Rail, Shiseido, among others.  His expertise lies in brand strategy, brand management, design development and implementation. Establishing customer experience of the brand in space and in the development of actual place identities as well as way finding and flow analyses.

I texted Lars and we subsequently jumped on a call to see if we were aligned. Lars was embarking on a new journey to work specifically on boutique projects and T-Wabisato was just such a project!

We met together with Mie Christensen in Copenhagen to discuss T-Wabisato and the idea behind it and they executed just like they promised: A visual Identity that encapsulates all that I wanted T-Wabisato to be!
